Dosing system GENODOS® DM-T controls the flow-dependent dosing of GENO®-Chlor A to disinfect drinking and process water. The system is based on a dosing volume of 1.0 mg of free chlorine per litre of water in drinking water treatment. In the workflow, the contact water meter with pulse transmitter defines the timing for volume-dependent control of the dosing pump. Consistent drinking water quality is guaranteed through the addition of the active agent in proportion to the volume of water. The dosing agent is extracted directly from the disposable container via a suction lance. In dosing systems DM-T 80 and DM-T 100, the dosing tank is fitted with a suction hose and empty signal.
In disinfection procedures, the materials used must be checked on site to determine their resistance to chemicals and corrosion. The installation site must be frost-proof and the system protected against sunlight, chemicals, dyes, solvents and vapours. The ambient temperature should not exceed 30°C. According to EN 1717, dosing systems in drinking water treatment are to be protected by means of a system separator if they are connected to the public drinking water network.
