HC2 – Fully Demineralized Water – Fast and Convenient
The thermaliQ:HC2 treatment unit is designed for the complete desalination of drinking-quality water, enabling quick and easy initial filling or top-off of heating circuits. The thermaliQ:HC2 filling cartridge, which is also available separately, is included in the package and securely enclosed within the white plastic housing. The integrated LF measuring cell works for you and reliably monitors water quality. At a conductivity of less than 10 µS/cm, the green LED flashes; between 10–50 µS/cm, the yellow LED lights up; and at 50 µS/cm or higher, the red LED signals that the full desalination cartridges need to be replaced. The treatment unit is complemented by inlet and outlet shut-off valves via the integrated bayonet lock. This allows for quick and safe cartridge replacement without having to shut off the line beforehand.

Not only foreign substances, but also air is a problem in the heating circuit. Air bubbles act as insulation and significantly reduce heat transfer. The long-term effects of air in the system should not be overlooked either. Oxygen promotes corrosion and damages components over time. Bleeding the system is therefore essential and can be done in seconds and without any risk using a bleed valve on the connection module.
