Reliable system protection

The Grünbeck system separator GENO-DK Maxi

The Euro system separator GENO-DK Maxi is a safety device to be installed in water pipes if special withdrawal points or appliances are connected to the drinking water supply. It prevents the back-flow, back-pressure and back-suction of modified drinking water into the drinking water network.  The BA design is for protection up to and including liquid category 4 as per DIN EN 1717.

System separator with nominal connection diameters DN 150-250

GENO-DK Maxi (nominal connection diameters DN 150 to DN 250) are system separators according to construction design BA as per DIN EN 12729. When connecting special withdrawal points and apparatus to the drinking water supply, they ensure the water quality in accordance with DIN EN 1717 up to and including hazard class 4. The Euro system separator prevents the back-flow, back-pressure and back-suction of modified drinking water into the drinking water network.

The GENO-DK-Maxi replace EA 1 and EA 2 pipe separators and are made of coated spheroidal graphite cast iron. The safety fittings are suitable for operating temperatures up to 60°C at PN 10 bar. They operate according to the 3-chamber system with subdivision into upstream, intermediate and downstream pressure zones. The system separators have a flange connection (DIN EN 1092-1) for horizontal installation, two non-return valves and dripping water connection, as well as three test connection pieces.

Installation requirements

Please observe local installation directives, general guidelines and technical specifications regarding the Euro-system separator. The installation site must be accessible for maintenance work, flood and frost-proof and ensure the system's protection from chemicals, dyes, solvents and vapours. As per DIN 1988 and DIN EN 1717, the system separator has to be protected from impurities by means of appropriate fittings such as a fine filter. If there is a chance that deposits might come off the pipes, the fine filter must be installed directly upstream of the system separator.

Scope of supply
