The VGX-N nitrate filters are used to reduce nitrates in well water. The compact system uses the principle of ion exchange to provide water that corresponds to the reference value in the German Drinking Water Ordinance. The compact single system, which is controlled by an integrated water meter, is regenerated with sodium chloride.
For private water supplies, a combination with chlorine dioxide dosing GENODOS® type DM-B or chlorine dosing GENODOS® type DM-T for germ reduction is recommended.
Please note local installation directives, general guidelines and technical specifications. VGX-N nitrate filters must be protected in accordance with DIN EN 1717 (e.g. system separator GENO®-DK 2). A drinking water filter must be installed upstream of the system (e. g. BOXER®). VGX-N nitrate filters may only be sold following consultation with Grünbeck. A water analysis is required. In the case of nitrate reduction in the drinking water (raw water), the specifications of the German Drinking Water Ordinance – max. 250 mg/l chloride – must be observed, and the admixing of raw water must be taken into account where appropriate. The installation site must be frost-proof. The system must be protected against chemicals, dyes, solvents and vapours.
Nitrate filter VGX-N including
As standard, the VGX-N nitrate filters are fitted with the EXAcount interface. This interface permits the operation of a dosing system without additional turbine water meter to protect galvanised pipes against corrosion and to protect copper pipes by means of alkalinisation or to stabilise hardness.
