The mixed bed cartridge desaliQ:BA is a compact mixed bed ion exchanger system for full demineralisation of water of drinking water quality or residual demineralisation of partially demineralised water. For instance for the initial filling or make-up water feed of heating systems. The cartridge is made of stainless steel and contains a filling of high-grade mixed bed resin which can be regenerated by a specialist. The mixed bed cartridge features an internal distribution system, a plastic ring with carrying handles, a plastic foot, an oval clip-lock-type lid for easy replacement of the resin, a flow stabiliser and a vent valve. The nominal connection diameter is ¾“, the maximum operating pressure is 10 bar and the maximum water temperature 80 °C.
Please observe local installation directives, general guidelines and technical specifications. The installation site must be accessible for maintenance work, protected against flooding and frost and ensure the system's protection from chemicals, dyes, solvents and vapours. The ambient temperature as well as the radiation temperature in the immediate vicinity must not exceed 40 °C. The installation room must have a floor drain. The raw water must comply with the German Drinking Water Ordinance. As per DIN EN 1717, a system separator (e.g. GENO-DK 2-Mini) must be installed upstream of the mixed bed cartridge if neither the thermaliQ filling group nor the thermaliQ filling section is used. The installation of a drinking water filter (e.g. BOXER KD) upstream of the mixed bed cartridge desaliQ:BA further increases the operational reliability and safety of the mixed bed ion exchanger system.
The desaliQ mixed bed cartrigdes come filled with resin. The hydraulic connection is established by means of the desaliQ hose kit which can be ordered as an option.
