GENO®-control continuously monitors the residual hardness in soft water. The automatic hardness control device therefore protects downstream systems against water with hardness. Short-term, minor hardness breakthroughs (e.g., when the complete system is started) do not trigger alarms. The hardness monitoring device is fitted with shut-off valves and hose transitions, and the control unit has a visual operating and hard water display. GENO®-control has an output for visual or acoustic signals for the shutdown of a downstream system. The equipment also includes a differential pressure transmitter, measuring hose with connections and replacement sensor. It is possible to output an error signal to a central control system.
Observe local installation directives, general guidelines (e.g. WVU, EVU, VDE, DIN, DVGW, and/or ÖVGW or SVGW) and technical specifications. The installation site must be frost-proof and the system protected against chemicals, dyes, solvents and vapours. The ambient temperature as well as the radiation temperature next to the system must not exceed 40 °C. A separate socket (230 V / 50 Hz) is required within a range of approx. 1.5 m of the system.
